Since the coefficient of 'y' in both the equations are same, i.e., 5 and the sign is negative, add the two equations and solve for 'x' as follows:
3x + 5y = 6 ------------ eq 1
7x -5y = -11 ------------ eq 2
Adding eq 1 and eq 2,
10x = -5
x = -1/2
Now, substitute the computed value of 'x' in eq 1 and solve for 'y':
3 (-1/2) + 5y = 6
-3/2 + 5y = 6
5y = 6 + 3/2
5y = (12 + 3)/2
5y = 15/2
y = 3/2
Therefore, x = -1/2 and y = 3/2.
