I can help you here. The formula is:
Dose you want
____________ X amount of liquid
Dose you have
You WANT 700mg you HAVE 1g (1000mg) in 5ml of LIQUID
700 divided by 1000 = .7 X 5 = 3.5ml (you would administer 3.5ml to the patient)
Remember to always use the same units - for example make sure everything is in milligrams (700mg & 1000mg) instead 700mg and 1g. You need to convert 1g into 1000mg.
