The probability that you are not dealt a card from 2 to 8 can also be stated as the probability that you are dealt a card that is not from 2 to 8. That would include aces, nines, tens, jacks, queens and kings, That is six types of cards and there are four of each type, so you would be dealt one of those 24 cards. The probability of getting one of those cards is 24 out of 52 total cards, so it is 24/52 = 6/13.
