I assume the equation the parabola should be y = x². A vertical shift down of three units would be represented as y = x² - 3. A horizontal shift to the left of 2 units would be represented by the equation y = (x + 2)² - 3. The vertex of the original parabola is at the origin (0, 0). The vertex of the new parabola is at the point (-2, -3).
