Ableton: multiple sample slices mapped on a Push 2

Question

running Ableton X on Mac laptop, with Push 2.

I want to be able to have the ability to drop up to 8 samples, slice them into 8 slices, and have them mapped on a Push 2. Add capabilities to transpose, volume, trigger mode as macros as well. It may be 16 samples @ 4 slices, but you get the point.

i have a macro that allows me 2 samples, sliced up, but only the one sample lights up, and can't add more currently. Any help is appreciated; been scouring the Web for answers, no luck so far.

I think what you are looking for is the Drum Rack, use that in Ableton and that should solve everything. I f you need help learning the drum rack I can teach you how to use it to it's fullest. I have 10 years of experience in ableton is my life and soul of a program I love ableton!

Hi Sean,

When you say you’re trying to “slice 8 samples”, do you mean 8 samples simultaneously or one at a time in one instance of the Simpler or Sampler?

The other question I have is what are you using to slice the samples, Simpler or Sampler?
