The best book to learn music production is the manual of your DAW. This is not a joke. I have read the Ableton manual, it changed my game by probably 10x-50x.
Otherwise I would highly suggest online resources.
The best resource for a new EDM producer is reddit.com/r/edmproduction - That will take you through intermediate level and will include good YouTube resources.
Two blogs I can recommend are
- https://www.edmprod.com
- This is great for a beginner producer, there is so much good intro information on here.
- Heroic Academy is a good resource for mixing and audio engineering (which is effectively the cleanliness of your sound) and has a lot of good insight on the branding and artist side too. If music is a hobby/general interest just ignore this next part, but if this is a career aspiration remember that music comes first, if you don't have good music you don't have good music. It's very easy to get lost in branding. Know for a fact that having good music will always get you further quicker than anything else.
Like Adam said, if you have access to YouTube it is a great way to expand your knowledge. Simply search for exactly your question. If you want to ask "How to make EDM" then search that. Learning music production is a long process, but each time you watch or read something you will partially learn what you were asking and partially realize what you don't know. Once that happens, you will know what to look up for your next question.
I hope that helps. Have fun, deciding to make music was one of the best decisions I ever made. I and everybody else started at level 0 just like you. It all just takes time, and above all practice.
