This set of equations is just an annoyance! There is no easy way to solve it.

If you know how to set up and use 2x2 determinants, this is the least troublesome way.

Otherwise there is nothing but brute force arithmetic.

Multiply the first equation by 5 and the 2nd equation by 11 and add the 2 equations.

This eliminate the x variable and give you an equation in y. Be sure to use your calculator!!!
