If the spinner has numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on it and equal probability of landing on each, then probability of getting any specific number is 1/5 (one out of five equally likely options). Probability of getting a 3 is 1/5.

Please explain exactly what the fair spinner is. When you say it is "out of 5" I don't know what that means. You would need to say something like: "A fair spinner has the 5 numbers, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 on it, each with equal areas." or whatever the detailed description of the spinner is.01/28/20
