Your question is necessarily vague. Categorizing in what way? Large Banks,? Global Banks, French Banks. Community Banks, Banks that issue Credit cards. Banks that don't have fees on checking accounts. Banks that are primary dealers of Government bonds? We tend to categorize many things so we can simplify analysis.
