Please answer this question!

A 35-inch board is to be cut into three pieces so that the second piece is twice as long as the first peice and the third piece is 4 times as long as the first piece. If x represents the lengh of the first piece, find the lenghts for all three piece

No, x is the first length (5), 2x is the second length (2*5) and 4x is the third length (4*5). The lengths are 5 inches, 10 inches, and 20 inches.
5+10+20=35
