You will likely get a wide variety of responses to this very important question.
At the time that opposition leaders re-emerged to counter the autocratic rule of Maduro, Guaidó seemed to have the best interests of a more globally-connected and democratic Venezuelan republic in mind. Western leaders may have recognized those ideals and you can then extrapolate how this recognition may have helped Venezuelan civilians at the time.
Consider how his economic policies have specifically aligned with Western ideologies. How has Guaidó proposed to re-connect key sectors of the Venezuelan market with Western nations?
Furthermore, note his social policies. Which civil freedoms and rights has Guaidó emphasized as compared to Maduro?
It is important to know that a lot of anti-imperialist sentiment built up amongst Venezuelan civilians and politicians and arguably led to the Chavista movement.
How did that sentiment inform the nationalist and totalitarian policies of Chávez and Maduro?
Has Guaidó been able to effectively dedicate his efforts to opposing their policies?
Venezuela is in a tragic state of disorder, and its general populace is sadly still suffering under the totalitarian rule of Maduro.
This time in history will be one to study closely as conflict sadly continues to embroil Venezuela.
