With the symptoms and history placed in front of you with this question I do not think that it is an issue of oxygenation, rather one of acute alcohol withdrawal. Obtaining the pertinent information of the last drink can guide the interventions to prevent a seizure which could then compromise the airway.
1: ativan now may help, but IV lorazepam may be better suited for a faster onset
2: Nothing in this question says that the patients airway is compromised, skin turgor tests dehydration
3: an acutely anxious patient will not tolerate any teaching
4: last drink can give some insight as to how acute the potential withdrawal may be thus determine the appropriate intervention

Hi the question with the oxygen saturation and skin assessment is of priority, as although the patient has a history of anxiety, anxiety and skin changes can be a sign and symptom of cardiac, respiratory illness. This is an AIRWAY question. Thanks

This is an assessment question. The patient's anxiousness, based on the provided information, leans in the direction of alcohol abuse involvement. It would be a priority to find out when the patient last used alcohol.01/10/20

With all due respect Carolyn, this is not an Airway question. Assessment of the skin turgor is not reliable assessment in an adult patient. Therefore, I agree with Laura D. The correct answer is number 4. Very respectfully, Yana G01/20/20

I would say 4; Gather data regarding the patient's last alcohol drink due to the fact that the patient is exhibiting signs of withdrawal. Ativan cannot be given without an order, and the question does not provide an order for it. O2 saturation is a respiratory assessment; this question seems to be leading more towards an alcohol abuse scenario than respiratory Slow breathing is good for treating an acute panic attack, but that is not necessarily being described here.12/18/19
