If this truly is a 7th grade class with 4 students in it (smallest 7th grade class I've heard of), then the probability of randomly selecting a girl is 2/4.
If this truly is a 8th grade class with 8 students in it (smallest 8th grade class I've heard of), then the probability of randomly selecting a girl is 5/8.
The probability of randomly selecting both girls is just the multiplication of the two events because they are independent (randomly selecting a girl out of the 7th grade has no impact on the probability of randomly selecting a girl in the 8th grade).
So, the probability of randomly selecting both girls is 2/4 x 5/8 = 10/32 = 5/16
