Maxima and Minima

A sphere is inscribed in a right circular cone. Find the dimensions of the cone if the diameter of the sphere is 16cm.

Do you understand my statement about the infinite number of triangles that can enclose a circle?

I think maybe there is a paradox here. If you define a cone, that determines the maximum size of the enclosed sphere. But--for a given sphere, there are many different cones that will enclose it.

I was approaching this by just looking at a cross-section---namely a circle inside a triangle. It seems to me that--for a given circle--there are many possible enclosing triangles. To be sure, for any given triangle, there is only one circle that exactly fills it.
