the dot product of two vectors is |a|*|b|*cos(theta) where | | is magnitude and theta is the angle between them.
for parallel vectors theta =0 cos(0)=1
so the answer is |a|*|b| or sqrt(a1^2+a2^2...)*sqrt(b1^2+b2^2...)
Thanks!
