Intricate question! We have to do some difficult math to figure it out. The average fly lays at least one egg over some period of time. Therefore as your question subject implies, there is a nonzero probability that the flies laid eggs in your bread! The average fly egg has a 24 hour gestation period, so you won't see any maggots until at least tomorrow. Another factor is diseases. Flies carry diseases like Typhoid fever and Cholera, which are great if you're trying to get out of an exam!
All in all it seems like a great idea to eat that fly infested bread.
