Determining a degree is looking at the largest number in the exponent of your polynomial.
For example, number 1. (4x^4y^3 + vy + 7) The exponents here are 4, 3, and 1. Therefore, the degree or exponent is 4.
For number 2. (8n^5 - 4n^2 - x) you have 5, 2, and 1 as exponents. The degree or exponent here is 5.
For number 3. (134x^10y^3 + x2vy + 7) you have 10, 3, and 1 as exponents so the degree for this one is 10.
