cats and kittens

In just 18 months a female cat can have 2000 descendants. Is this number of descendants realistic?

In just 18 months a female cat can have 2000 descendants. The age at which a female cat can first get pregnant is about 4 months old. The length of the pregnancy is about 2 months, and each litter has about 4 to 6 kittens. The average number of litters a female cat can have in one year is 3. The age which a female cat no longer has kittens is 10 years old. Is this number of descendants realistic?

please can i have a straight answer with working out,not an essay. Can you also write what your assuming e.g that there is no males just females/ don't have to use this example

Sorry, I can't accommodate your request. You need to make the assumptions specific; I can't make them for you. Is gestation assumed to be 2 months exactly? Assume exactly how many female kittens per litter and exactly 3 litters per year? And that number of litters for exactly 10 years? Otherwise, you are asking a very complicated probabilistic question, for a question which is already quite complicated!
