In just 18 months a female cat can have 2000 descendants. The age at which a female cat can first get pregnant is about 4 months old. The length of the pregnancy is about 2 months, and each litter has about 4 to 6 kittens. The average number of litters a female cat can have in one year is 3. The age which a female cat no longer has kittens is 10 years old. Is this number of descendants realistic?

Based on the given data, any given cat can have 5 kittens in 6 months.
months 0-6: original cat is born matures and has kittens. so after 6 months,
we have 1 mature cat and 5 kittens
months 7-12: original cat has another litter of 5 kittens. the 5 kittens from the
previous litter have matured and have 5 kittens of their own.
So we have 6 mature cats and 30 kittens.
months 8-18: The 6 mature cats have 5 kittens each. The 30 kittens have
matured and have 5 kittens each.
We have 36 mature kittens and 130 kittens
Even going one more generation, we'll have
166 mature cats, and (36+130)*5 = 166*5 = 830 kittens
No it does not seem realistic
