If it is assumed that all poker hands are equally likely, what is the probability

of being dealt:


  1. (a) a flush? (all 5 cards are of the same suit)
  2. (b) one pair? (the cards have denominations a,a,b,c,d where a,b,c,d are all different)
  3. (c) two pairs? (the cards have denominations a,a,b,b,c where a,b,c are all different)
  4. (d) three of a kind? (the cards have denominations a,a,a,b,c where a,b,c are all different)
  5. (e) four of a kind? (the cards have denominations a,a,a,a,b where a and b all different)
