Assume that Santiago bought x adult tickets and y child tickets

 

x + y = 15

or x = 15-y

 

Also 9.50x + 6y = 121.5

Substituting for x

9.5 (15-y) + 6y = 121.5

142.5 -3.5y = 121.5

3.5y = 21

y = 6

 

x = 15-6 = 9

 

So 9 adult tickets and 6 child tickets
