Given the other linear function that is perpendicular to this one, the slope of the new line will be the opposite reciprocal of the given line (so if given line has slope of 2/3, new line has slope of -3/2). Then to solve for the y-intercept of the new line, simply plug in your new slope (m) into the formula y=mx+b, and then substitute your x and y variables for the coordinates of the point that the line must go through to solve for b which is the y-intercept of your new line.
