xy = 14 substituting from equation 2 into equation 1

x + 14/x = 14 or x² + 14 = 14x or x² -14x + 14 = 0

Using the quadratic equation we find that x = 12.916 and 1.084

Substituting for y we find that y = 1.084 and 12.916
