It really depends on when you plan on taking the MCAT. For example, if you're planning on taking it in July, then you should definitely start during the school year. However, if you are planning on taking it in the fall then you can dedicate your entire summer to prep for the exam. I will tell you that it is extremely difficult to work and study for MCAT at the same time during the summer, you'll need more time. Hope that helps!
