Odds are often given as a ratio of desired outcomes to undesired outcomes. So odds of 4 to 3 mean that for every 4 wins there are 3 losses. Probability is given as a ratio of desired outcomes to TOTAL possible outcomes. So if there are 4 desirable outcomes and 3 undesirable outcomes, there are a total of 7 outcomes. Therefore the probability of an event with 4 to 3 odds is 4/7. You can also express this as about 0.57 or 57% if you want. But fractions are usually more exact than an approximated decimal or percentage value.
