First solve for the slope ( -3 -2)/(2-4_= -5/-2 = 5/2=2.5

So we have y= 2.5x +b now can use either point to solve for b Lets use (4,2)

2= 10 + b

b=-8

So equation is y = 2.5x -8

If you plot this equation you will see that is indeed does pass thru both (2,-3) and (4,2)
