What's the difference?What are the advantages / disadvantages of tuples / lists?

Lists can be extended or contracted, while the number of elements in a tuple can not be changed. This makes lists more flexible and slower to use while tuples are less flexible and faster to use. Lists are mutable and tuples are immutable. Also, there is no difference of opinion on how to pronounce "list".
