How can I graph y=-5^x?

The best way to graph functions like this is to make a short table & determine corresponding values of x & y

So, x y x y

0 -1 -2 .04

2 -25 -5 -.00032

5 -3125 -10 -.0000001

As you can see the function is alway negative, Grows very large negative (quickly) in the fourth quadrant, crosses y=-1 at x = 0, and then it stays just under the -x axis out to - infinity in the third quarter!
