2x2 + 1 = 6x
First, put this in standard form: 2x2 - 6x + 1 = 0
Using a = 2, b = -6, and c = 1, the quadratic formula gives: x = (6 ±√(36 - 4(2)(1)))/4
So x = (6 ± √(36 - 8)/3 = (6 ± √28)/4 = (6 ± 2√7)/4 = (3 ± √7)/2
