Hi Breanna--
GCF (Greatest Common Factor) means, "the biggest number that can go into both 4 and 16."
Think of numbers you can multiply together to get 4:
1 x 4, or 2 x 2.
And for 16?
1 x 16, or 2 x 8, or 4 x 4.
So what's the biggest one that you see on BOTH lists?
It's 4.
It's the Greatest Factor that 4 and 16 have in Common.
