How can one reproduce the bass of "Take My Breath Away" with Cubase, using Halion and insert effects?

I'm not sure about using Halion, but the original bass sound was made with a DX7 I believe, which has a free VST emulation called Dexed. I believe Dexed can also use DX7 patches, and so you should be able to find the exact patch created in Dexed. Arthur Barrow claims it was the stock Fretless Bass patch in the DX7, so you can try and recreate that using Dexed.
