There isn’t a such thing as a best compressor for any given genre. More importantly, it’s about the characteristics of the compressor which helps improves your sound. I will say this though, The LA-2A compressor is the most famous compressor of all time and has been used in 1000s of great songs. That’s my go to compressor 75% of the time because it sounds great and is extremely easy to use.
