the formula for this calculation is amount left = initial amount * 2^-t/h

where t = time passed, and h = half-life

 

time passed = 300 years, half-life = 710 years; -t/h =-0.4225

 

so, Amount left = 10g * 2^-0.4225

 

Amount left = 7.461g

 

amount disintegrated = 10g - 7.461g = 2.539g
