Music Production - Beat Making Lessons
There is a variety of jobs in many industries and roles for audio engineers.
The obvious path is to apprentice in a recording studio and eventually get your shot at the big multi-channel board on an up and coming band or artist. Some other opportunities are editing TV commercials or videos for social media- in many cases you would also need to have some skill with video editing and lining up events of a video sequence to a soundtrack or adding in sound effects into a set timeline.
The same could be done for larger productions like movies and other jobs like restoring audio from old recordings. Mastering audio is another aspect of the audio industry- you may or may not take part of the recording process, but the mastering is generally given to a high-end expert who can add the depth, overall spacing and EQ that the recording needs for proper representation on a variety of devices- car, iphone, radio, television, studio monitors, PA speakers etc.. All of these jobs are highly competitive- and often are referred via word of mouth. Best to hone all of your mixing and editing chops and be ready to handle any project that comes your way. You may also have to learn a new software or hardware platform on the job vs. what you have learned with at home/school.
