The most prominent one, in my opinion, is heavy ducking. With this, we set up a noise gate/ducker on a music track and set the vocal track to be the sidechain key. We set it up in a way that whenever the person speaks, the music is noticeably ducked out of the way. We see this in music, such as sidechaining bass and kick drum, but with broadcast, it's very noticeable.
What are some plugins/sonic techniques used for broadcast / podcasts which are not commonly used in music?
