Fresh out of a Kaplan abuse session--is genetics material overtested in their practice exams?

Hey y'all, just finished up with getting another proverbial beating from a Kaplan MCAT practice test. What I've noticed so far (after 2 tests, not too many I know): * Way too many pseudo-discretes... if Kaplan tests were how the real deal were you straight up would not have to read the science passages and could just do the questions in most cases and refer back for experimental data or the few specific questions. Honestly will probably be a little off-putting when I start busting through the AAMC shit closer to my test date * There seems to be a higher proportion of questions in the PS section that piggyback off of others (i.e. you can use one answer to check your answer to other ones in a different passage) than was in the AAMC test, probably yet another indicator of its poor quality Now my main question: From these two test I've taken so far there seems to have been a disproportionate amount of genetics material. Like a bunch of questions were on Mendelian inheritance, X-linked shit, mitochondrial inheritance, etc. I don't really have problems with it as I took genetics in the fall and did fine so I'd actually prefer it lol. When I took AAMC 1, there was barely any if I remember correctly (it's been a while). Does anybody else who has done more Kaplan tests than me also feel this way?
