Acid dilution question

an acid is added to water to make 30 mL of a solution with a pH of 6.5. If the solution is then diluted to a total volume of 300 mL, what will be the new value of the pH? ​ a) 6.5 b) between 6.5 and 7.5 c) 7.5 because the hydrogen ion concentration is reduced by a factor of 10 d) either A or B depending on what acid was used, but C is impossible ​ answer is D. can someone explain this question?
