hi r/mcat! i'm testing 4/6 and would like some advice on how i should proceed with studying. i'm studying full-time from now on (no other commitments really), so i have about 5.5 weeks until my exam. with that being said, i have pretty much finished bio/biochem/chem content but haven't touched physics, ochem and hardly have gone through p/s. i'm hoping to go through the kaplan c/p books by the end of next week, and work on P/S as well over the next 2 weeks (i'm using the KA 86 page doc and have gone through about 15 pages). i've been doing uworld for cars and some b/b questions so far, and I haven't taken a practice test yet. i'm getting a little stressed since I haven't even touched any physics/ochem and have a lot of P/S left as well.
how would you recommend I move forward? thanks!
Hi there! With limited time, you'll only hurt yourself if you decide to take the exam without proper preparation. I would say to delay your test. If nothing is going to make you do that, prioritize UWorld (ensuring you review answers as you go). Focus only on content you are not familiar with then switch to AAMC material and you'll want to do a practice test about every week since you have just over 5 weeks and there are five practice exams. Please contact me if you would like a better schedule if you decide to cancel your test. Please remember that you will not be able to remove the test score from your profile once you've accepted to have it scored on test day.
