Questions specifically for those who got 127 or higher on 01/24 P/S (but i also highly appreciate input from everyone!!! :)
Hi guys! My P/S score sadly dropped about 4 points compared to my FLs so i’m just looking for way to improve it for my retake. I would really appreciate any input!
1. What materials did you use to study and what did you think were really helpful?
2. What level of difficulty did you think it was compared to the practices that you did? (Like compared to SBs, FLs, etc)
3. Did you read the entire passage or did you read the question first and then skim for relevant information from the passage to answer it?
(I’ve always used the skimming method for all sections except CARS, and it seemed to work well for me. I also did okay on the actual CP and BB using this method. I was particularly fatigued during the real deal (this might be a contributing factor), but I also want to know if the 1/24 P/S in particular MIGHT have required reading the entire passage to do well)
4. I think this could be a very vague question. However, i struggled with this the most, so please please please please answer it if you can (if not that’s totally fine too!) I noticed that there were many questions with answers that did not make sense to me. I knew the answer choices, but none seemed to answer the question at all so i was very very confused. I understand that this could mean i did not fully comprehend some of the concepts, or maybe that’s because i did not read the entire passages? I’m not sure which one was the reason. If you have had this experience during your practice, please share with me what was it that you thought did wrong or how to improve.
5. Do you have any tips for future test-takers who may have to encounter lots of data interpretation and analysis in this section? Also, i think BB was data analysis heavy as well but i did way better on BB than on PS for some reason. Sorry if this sounds dumb, but how did you think BB data analysis different from PS data analysis?
6. Any general tips or advice?
Thank you VERY VERY much for your help!!
There's a 100 page document floating around reddit that has everything you need to know. It's all I used for the P/S section and I felt it was very easy after using that document to study, and I got a 131 on the section.
