Max works at a car company, he can make 1 part in 40 seconds how many parts can he make in 2 hrs? can u please write this in a equation form with explnation of how to answer it

Since you have a total amount of time he can make parts you can set the equation up to be equal to the total time. Since your times are not in the same units you will have to convert 40 seconds to hours or 2 hours to seconds. Then using the value for the time to make one part and a variable to represent the part your equation would look like this...

 

Converting 2 hours to seconds    2 hours = 7200 seconds

 

40x = 7200

 

 

Then solve for x and that is how many parts you can make in total in 2 hours.
