Hello, Matthew
The first thing we need to do is find the slope. Point 1(-3,-5), point 2 (4,-5). The formula for the slope is
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)= [-5-(-5)]/[4-(-3)]= 0/7= 0. This is a horizontal line since horizontal lines have a slope of zero. In addition, this line must pass through (-3,-5) and (4,-5). So, if you plot this points in the coordinate plane, and draw a line through these points, you will have a horizontal line with a y intercept of (0,-5). So, the equation of this line must be y=-5... there is no slope since it is a horizontal line.
Well, Matthew, I hope this help out. Please rate my answer :).
