Hi Omarion. While this may seem like a good idea to get a head start, the MCAT really does build upon the knowledge you will gain in your pre-medical coursework including biology, biochemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and any psych/soc classes you take. The best way to approach the MCAT is with a good study plan and enough time to dedicate to preparation. Doing this on top of school is somewhat inevitable if you plan to apply while in undergrad, but I would personally suggest waiting until you've taken the bulk of your coursework. Additionally, it is better to apply to medical school with a current MCAT score. If you take it now, I would expect a pre-medical advisor to suggest a more recent score when it comes time to apply. Hope this helps!
