what is different from the first problem i posted?

Consider the equations: f(x)=-6x-1
and  g(x)=4x^2
Select the solution for (fg)(x)

that is just how it is written so I am not sure I am really confused.

Then, we know that fg is short for f x g, so do the second part of what I said. (f-g)(x) would be subtracting. Hope I am making sense.
