Greetings! Lets solve this shall we!?
We must take the given function and break it down into the functions f(x), g(x) and h(x).
Notice the (x+1) as the exponent in the function. Let the second function be g(x) = (x-1) where the parent function is f(x) = 2x - 1.
We then let h(x) be the composite function f[g(x)] such that h(x) = f[g(x)]. Then,
h(x) = f[g(x)] = 2(x+1) - 1.
I hope this helps!
