Theoretical probability is the ratio of the number of successes over the total number of possibilities.
Example: What is the probability of drawing an ace from a deck of cards? Four aces are in the deck. So four is number of successes. A deck has 52 cards. So 52 is the number of all possible. The probability of drawing 4 aces is 4 / 52, or 1 / 13
