If minus a is the solution of the equation x square +3ax+t is equal to zero find the value of t

Stanton D.

Strangely worded query -- expect two roots, (-3/2)a + or - (9a^2-4t)^0.5/2 . That cannot result in a single solution unless t=(9/4)a^2 , and even then, it won't be just -a! You could find t such that one root is -a, but then the other would be -2a.
