Write the Sum in summation notation in terms of k.

Question

5/(7*8) + 6/(8*9) + ... + n/(n+2)(n+3)

That is 5 over (7 times 8) + 6 over (8*9) + ... + n over (n+2)(n+3)

I do not even understand what it is asking. Please help.

∑k/[(k+2)(k+3)] for k = 5 to ∞

Now in this editor I cannot write the capital sigma ∑ with the parameters on it.

Usually below the sigma you write k=1 and the infinity sign goes on top of the sigma.

The sum diverges, i.e. has no limit as the number of terms becomes infinite..
