How can I fix my router?

My parents switched back to New Wave for internet connection. All phones connect to (Blank) 2.4 GHz, but it cannot support my laptop. Now, the 5GHz can. However, it won't show up AT ALL on my list of available networks to connect to. With the 2.4, the connection is TERRIBLE on my laptop. It will go in and out of connection and I can't even load up Steam. Please help?

You probably need to get some expert help from the folks who service your internet account. I had a similar problem when my old router wore out. I bought a new one from Century Link and got some assistance in downloading the software that activates the network set up.

You might be able to do some trouble shooting through your operating system (Windows 10 or Mac OSX). Give that a shot and write down any error messages you receive.
