OK, Sharon, we know that slope-intercept form is y = mx +b
The slope is the change in y/change in x, sometimes written as (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1).
So, we have (0 - (-7))/(-2 - 0) = 7/-2 = -7/2
To find our b, pick either point and plug in the x and y with our slope.
0 = -7/2(-2) + b
0 = 7 + b
b = -7
Now that we have our slope and y-intercept, simply plug them into y = mx + b, so y = -7/2x - 7.
To check your answer, plug both points in and make sure they work.
0 = -7/2(-2) - 7
0 = 7 - 7
0 = 0
-7 = -7/2(0) - 7
-7 = 0 - 7
-7 = -7
Hope this helps!
