Use the following formula (point-slope) to solve this problem: y - y1 = m(x - x1), where m is the slope and x1, y1 are the given points. So now lets plug in what we know.
- y - 2 = 9 (x - 1)
Distribute the right side of the equation
- y - 2 = 9x - 9
Slope Intercept form is y = mx + b so we need to keep y by itself and move everything else over.
- y = 9x - 9 - 2
Combine and your slope intercept form of the given information is
- y = 9x -11
