What is the Implicit Derivative of y = 2^(x^3 - 4)

For clarification, (x^3-4) doesn't translate to x^-1, instead it's read as x cubed minus 4

I'm not sure what you mean by "implicit derivative".

By the chain rule:

dy/dx = 3x * 2^(x^3 - 4)

Please note: I am trying to learn how to use the new text editor for answering Wyzant questions. I haven't figured out how to do complicated exponents
